And we do more than that. Our employees volunteer their time, energy and talents to nonprofit organizations of their choice. To support these efforts, we make cash contributions through our Volunteer Grant Program to eligible organizations.
Finally, we sponsor group voluntary efforts. An exciting new community support activity is our Callanan Mentoring Program. Employees are matched with students from our Partner School, Callanan Middle School, who need an adult friend in their lives. Our employees participate in the program by meeting with their students weekly--to have lunch, sit in on a class or an activity, attend a sporting or musical event, or simply have a quiet conversation.
We are proud to have received the Governor's Volunteer Award for our cooperation with the Iowa Department of Natural Resources' Nongame Program in the restoration of the peregrine falcon to Iowa.
